Towns Served by DFD Russell Medical Centers

The Center's service area consists primarily of six towns, Leeds, Turner, Greene and Wales in Androscoggin County and Monmouth and Wayne located in Kennebec County. With the exception of Wayne, the five other towns are federally designated Medically Underserved Area (MUA). We also serve patients from towns on the western fringe of the service area including Sumner (HPSA-96, DH-94), Hartford (HPSA-96, DH-94), Canton (HPSA-96, DH-94), Buckfield (HPSA-M95, MUP-M, MH-94) and Hebron (HPSA-M95, MUP-M, MH-94) in Oxford County that have the noted federal shortage designations, and on the eastern side Litchfield (L99-HPSA), as well as Winthrop and West Gardiner.
